The last stage of the second round has played at the 10th day of the World Snooker Championship, O’Sullivan, Robertson, Murphy and Trump secured their place in the quarter-final.
The 2005 world champion Shaun Murphy played well against Joe Perry in the second round match, he started the first session with a solid 7-1 lead and resumed with a 12-4 lead to the last session.
The Magician has scored nine half centuries throughout the match including a 121 century break in frame three, Murphy finished with break of 68 to win the match 13-5.
Shaun Murphy will face the debutant Anthony McGill for the quarter-final, The Scotsman McGill beat last year’s champion Mark Selby to reach the last 8.
Five-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan defeats Matthew Stevens in the World Snooker Championship’s second round.
Ronnie O’Sullivan produced a fantastic game of snooker throughout the match. He achieved a high success percentage in every category and completed a great victory over The Welsh Dragon.
The Rocket won 5-3 at the first session, 7-1 at the second session to lead 12-4 and needed just one frame in the last session. He won the second frame of the last session to win the match 13-5.
O’Sullivan has scored three century breaks – 100, 110 and 139 and total of nine half-centuries to heavily defeat Matthew Stevens.
Ronnie will play world #10 Stuart Bingham in the quarter-final stage.
Former world champion Neil Robertson crushed Ali Carter in the World Snooker ‘s second round match. He faces Barry Hawkins in the quarter-final.
The 2010 world champion Neil Robertson performed an impressive game of snooker. He scores d well throughout the championship and against both opponents.
After defeating Jamie Jones 10-2 in the first round match, Robertson met The Captain Ali Carter for the second round match, managing to maintain his snooker form.
The Aussie scored three century breaks of – 143, 109 and 133 in the first round match, he added four more centuries against Ali Carter – 129, 115, 119 and a superb tournament highest break of 145 in the last frame of the match to finish with a smashing 13-5 victory over Carter.
Robertson will meet the 2013 runner-up Barry Hawkins for the quarter-final match.
The 2011 runner-up Judd Trump played Hong Kong’s Marco Fu in the World Snooker Championship second round match and lead 10-6 after the second session.
Trump scored a great 133 break in the last frame of the match to finish in a style and to beat Fu 13-8, Trump will meet Ding Junhui for the quarter-final.
